Gallery walk shows diversity

Sales department presents product diversity with the objective of "cross-selling"

Around 150 impressed participants speaks volumes: during the gallery walk concerning "cross-selling," they were acquainted with the diversity of our product portfolio. To achieve this, the product managers provided them with facts, figures, videos, and packaging samples to touch and feel.

"Cross-selling" is the name given by marketing strategists to the sale of additional products to customers that are already purchasing articles from another market segment. For Bischof+Klein, for instance, this means that we offer an industrial customer that is already using our FFS sacks the U-Pack® for selling in DIY stores.

So that this functions, of course, it is necessary to know what the other market segments have to offer. And precisely that was the intention of the gallery walk: Sales colleagues from the consumer, industrial, and specials market segments got talking to one another and were surprised to discover just what our product range has to offer.

Topics included recyclability, the use of recyclate, and the differences between various types of film. Our production processes and the filling technology used by our customers were also discussed.

What was particularly exciting was that the visitors also included staff from the laboratory, quality assurance, repro, and regulatory affairs departments, which led to some really good discussions and fresh ideas. At the end, everyone – and not just the newcomers amongst us – were surprised about exactly what we are capable of.
