Our four executive board members welcomed all of the employees who attended the summer barbecue under the canopy roof at gate 8 at Bischof+Klein Lengerich with a handshake. Afterwards, CEO Dr. Tobias Lührig could be seen rubbing his hands: “There were one or two very firm handshakes.”

Together with CSO Erik Edelmann, CFO Karsten Pax, and COO Wald Westerlinck, he wished all of the staff a relaxing evening and bon appetit. Wald Westerlinck’s recommendation was: “Feel at home, celebrate, sing, and dance.”

The conditions were just right: perfect late summer weather, food trucks serving delicacies to suit all tastes, various cold drinks, a great band, and much more besides. The organization team had bathed the otherwise drab truck loading area in warm light with colorful spotlights.

The staff gathered around stand-up tables and on beer benches or took part in fierce table football competitions. A long queue formed in front of the photo box. All of the departments and teams that were present presumably took the opportunity to get a group photo with unusual accessories. This memory will almost certainly put a smile on people’s faces in the coming months.

“We should definitely do that again next year!” - This wish was heard expressed time and again. Thanks to the organization team, which did a really outstanding job, were also expressed with equal frequency.
