Outstanding 2nd place

Lengerich team in the final of the Fiege Soccer Cup

“Match scene”: The Adam Günderoth stadium in Lampertheim, Hesse, offered more than 3,000 participants from ten countries the perfect stage for a gigantic football festival. Over 100 teams fought out the preliminary round on twelve small pitches.

A delegation from Bischof+Klein Lengerich / LSL achieved an outstanding 2nd place in the 18th FIEGE Soccer Cup in Lampertheim, Hesse. In the preliminary round, trainer Dietmar Schallenberg’s team came top of their group and effortlessly made it to the next round.

The subsequent KO games proved no problem for the Bischof+Klein / LSL delegation either. Things heated up in the semi-final. In a gripping penalty shoot-out, the Lengerich team fired one ball after another into the Italian keeper’s goal.

With chants of “Final,” the 20 employees and fans who had traveled along psyched themselves up and celebrated the team. In the subsequent final, they were “narrowly” beaten 1:2 by the titleholder and hosting team from FIEGE Logistik Biblis. The winning women’s team from Greven-Reckenfeld is to play host next year.
