Network for the future
Cross-location teamwork in Pont-Audemer
Bischof+Klein France has fundamentally renovated its network infrastructure. This was necessary to prepare for the use of Grafana. This cross-platform open-source source application enables the graphical representation of data from various data sources.
There was a lot to do! The racks needed a thorough clean. The main work was able to get off to a start following an initial LAN refresh halfway through the year.
The obsolete cabinets were replaced by ventilated and monitored cabinets with the aid of two service providers. 45 new connections to the production machines were established. The Wi-Fi system is now operating reliably and new SAP workplaces have been established in the production department.
After seven months of preparation and six weeks of work, our network is now more reliable, our tools are more numerous, and we have achieved good initial results, although we still have a great deal of work ahead of us. Bischof+Klein France will soon be able to monitor its production lines in real time.

Many thanks to Benoit Postel, Kévin Lapoule, and the entire maintenance team at Pont Audemer, who equipped the lines with the technology and the additional cabinets needed to accommodate the communications interfaces.
Thanks to Shanie Rawlins from Telford for her hard work in preparing the network, and to Jens Hasenkamp and Dominik Tilch from Lengerich for their efficiency in defining and implementing the project.
