The goods group managers from Group Procurement met up for their annual talks with the local purchasers from Bischof+Klein Polska, Bischof+Klein France, and Bischof+Klein UK. The content was focused on planning for 2025 and the following years. Which opportunities does Bischof+Klein’s purchasing management foresee? Which risks need to be taken into consideration? 

Above all, increasing regulations (the German Supply Chain Act, documentation of greenhouse gas emissions in the supply chain, etc.), geopolitical crises, and economic developments in Europe are posing major challenges in our supply chains. Further changes have to be anticipated at all times. In order to be successful, we have to be able to adapt to changes as quickly as possible. The leitmotif for the future is therefore “Adapt to change!”

A review of the past year also involved assessing internal cooperation. Many things functioned optimally, but ideas for further improvements were also put forth. Further optimization potential is particularly seen in regular communication with one another and with the internal stakeholders.

The presentation of software to support the goods group management was also of interest to all participants. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is additionally occupying our colleagues in the purchasing department. They reported on their experiences thus far, e.g. in risk management and when searching for suppliers.
