In the roadshow, numerous colleagues mentioned that onboarding for new employees was not functioning optimally. Reason enough to revise the entire process and develop a new concept. The aim was to enable the new employees to get their working lives off to a smooth start at our company and to design smart and efficient background processes.

The new concept highlights two main aspects: All new employees should experience Bischof+Klein’s unique welcoming culture from the word go. Harmonized procedures enable them to quickly find their feet in their new environment. One of the most significant changes is therefore the introduction of a joint welcome day for all new colleagues. This event not only offers the opportunity to get to know one another, but also to obtain a deeper insight into our corporate culture, values, and goals. The new colleagues therefore develop a sense of belonging and cohesion from the very beginning.

Following the welcome day, they are provided with comprehensive work safety training and IT training. In an increasingly digitalized working environment, it is crucial for our new employees to have the technical skills and resources that they need to be able to work effectively from the outset.

The second area of optimization is the central coordination of all onboarding by the Human Resources team. This coordinated and structured support guarantees that all aspects of the onboarding process intermesh seamlessly and that the new team members are supported as well as possible.

The positive feedback confirms that the new employees settle in well at Bischof+Klein and quickly make a positive contribution to the success of our company. The processes and content will continue to be optimized, refined, and extended with this in mind.
