New app for corporate communication
Bischof+Klein France is taking new approaches to internal communication. Since December 2023, the subsidiary company has been using “Steeple,” an app for interactive corporate communication. Around 45 percent of employees have already registered there, and 94 percent of them actively use the app.
Internal communication previously consisted of information that was sent by e-mail, tacked onto a notice board, or distributed by mail, occasionally several times, without being read.
Many of Bischof+Klein France’s employees work in the field salesforce and do not have a company e-mail address. It was therefore difficult to make internal communication accessible to everyone. This situation had to be improved. The aim was for all employees to have the same information status.
The Human Resources department decided on a simple digital solution for internal communication in the form of an app. Steeple enables the distribution of photos, videos, PDFs, surveys, and dates using smartphones, but also via screens and an internal website.
The app is also interesting for the technical sales staff. They can show a valve sack being filled on a customer line, for instance, and therefore explain their customers’ needs better in workshops.
Managing director Fabien Pequery: “After eight months of multi-channel use (two touch screens in the plant, website, and mobile application), we have discovered that this form of communication has simplified information exchange and dialogue at the location and within our teams.”
