Over 1,000 years of packaging experience were gathered at the jubilee celebration held at the Centralhof in Lengerich. “This is no mean feat,” said CEO Dr. Tobias Lührig. He paid tribute to the performance put in by the employees, who have been committed to the company for 25, 40 and, in one case, no fewer than 50 years. 

“Your professional experience is of incalculable value. It plays a critical role in this age of transformation.” He went on to say that it is now essential to combine this experience with the ideas of young colleagues and with new methods, techniques, and technologies. “That is a crucial factor for success.”

The certificates were presented by Dr. Tobias Lührig together with executive board member Erik Edelmann. The latter cast an entertaining glance back at 1973, 1983, and 1998, the years in which the jubilee staff started working at Bischof+Klein.

Dr. Tobias Lührig outlined the current situation faced by the company, which is undergoing a transformation process with exciting challenges and fantastic opportunities. “We are at the very beginning of a massive technological revolution. With a history spanning more than 130 years, this is not a new scenario for Bischof+Klein. The company has already re-invented itself and overcome changes more than once.“

He appealed to the jubilee staff to play an active role in Bischof+Klein’s transformation process. “We should be open to new ideas and technologies and thereby pave the way for the younger generation at Bischof+Klein.”
